Get Started with AllowMe

AllowMe turns good habits — reading, chores, learning — into real savings your kids can see and grow. You set the rules. Your kids earn. You approve.

You're always in control. Parents decide what kids can do. Kids earn and settle within those rails. Money can only ever go to a destination you've authorized — nothing can be sent somewhere you didn't approve, by anyone.

That's AllowMe: kids earn, parents verify, money settles on approval, and the difference between earned and in your wallet is always visible. No surprises, no hidden balances.

Step 1 — Choose your role

AllowMe works a little differently depending on who you are. Pick the one that fits, then follow the steps inside.

You're the Manager — you create the family, invite everyone, and set the rules. Only this path starts with Sign in with Base on verify.

Sign in with Base

  1. Open allowme.dev/verify.
  2. Click Sign in with Base (not the invite-code box).
  3. Approve sign-in in your wallet. No payment, no gas.
  4. Create your family if first time. You'll get your magic link (https://allowme.dev/mcp?setup=SETUP-XXXX-XXXX) and Open in Claude.
Why do I sign in with a wallet first? Your Base wallet becomes your family's secure owner. It's how AllowMe knows you're the parent in charge, and it's what keeps your kids' money safe — funds can only ever move to places you approve. You do this once, at the start.

Connect AllowMe

Use your magic link from the verify success screen — not bare allowme.dev/mcp.

Fastest path: Open AllowMe in Claude — same as Open in Claude on verify.

No button? Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector · Name AllowMe · URL your magic link → Add → Connect.

Open ChatGPT connector settings — shortcut only; then dev-mode New App with MCP Server URL = your magic link, Authentication: OAuth.

Set up your family

Set up the Isaac family. Aiden gets $5/week, 100% education.

Distribute what Aiden earned

When you distribute earnings, AllowMe will show you exactly what will happen and ask you to approve before anything moves.

You're a Co-parent — verify and check progress. You don't set up the family or distribute earnings.

Open your invite

  1. Open allowme.dev/verify.
  2. Enter invite code (e.g. SOFI-LEARN-X7K2) under Have an invite code? → Look up invite, or open the link your partner sent.
  3. Click Sign in with Base & join and approve in your wallet.
  4. Copy your magic link from the success screen.

Connect AllowMe

Fastest path: Open AllowMe in Claude — modal opens with your magic link pre-filled.

No button? Paste your magic link into Remote MCP server URL → Add → Connect → sign in. You join the invited family — you don't create a new one.

Open ChatGPT connector settings — then:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings.
  2. Enable Developer Mode if prompted.
  3. Click Create to open the New App modal.
  4. Fill in:
    • Name: AllowMe
    • Description: Family allowance and savings on Base
    • MCP Server URL: your full magic link
    • Authentication: OAuth
  5. Check "I understand and want to continue" on the risk warning.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Complete sign-in to authorize.
AllowMe is a developer-mode app today — it isn't listed in the directory yet.

You're a Learner. Open the link your parent sent — no wallet, no family setup.

Open the link your parent sent you

  1. Tap your parent's invite link.
  2. On allowme.dev/verify, confirm your name → Join the family (no wallet).
  3. Tap Open in Claude on the success screen (or copy your magic link).

Link looks like https://allowme.dev/mcp?setup=SETUP-XXXX-XXXX — not bare allowme.dev/mcp.

No invite yet? Ask your parent.
